While in Santa Fe for the WSATA 2007 Annual Meeting, you are invited to enter our Savor Santa Fe Golf Tournament scheduled for September 9, 2007.  The tournament, which will have a shotgun start at 8:30 a. m., will be limited to the first 40 players to register.  The registration fee is $60.  Clubs may be rented for an additional $45 and a limited supply of left-handed clubs will be available.

The tournament will be played at Santa Clara Pueblo’s spectacular Black Mesa Golf Club, located in the high desert 30 minutes north of Santa Fe.  The tree-less beauty of the course is dramatic, with fairways and greens nestled among stark sandstone ridges and occasional views of majestic Black Mesa.  As Black Mesa Golf Club puts it:  “The environment at Black Mesa is pure, absent of any man-made distractions…. Designed by architect Baxter Spann, Black Mesa has a wild Irish links look to it. The layout showcases distinctive bunkering, native arroyos as hazards, and green contouring in keeping with the scale of the natural landforms….A great course tests both the mind and the body, and this statement holds true for Black Mesa. From the first tee shot, you realize that mental strategy is essential, while the course's expansive fairways and greens allow it to be played more easily than it appears.”

Black Mesa Golf Club was rated number 34 by Golf Magazine on its 2007 list of the top 100 courses.  On its list of the top 100 courses, Golf Digest ranked Black Mesa number 44.  For additional information, you may visit Black Mesa’s web site at www.blackmesagolfclub.com.
