Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza
The headquarters for the WSATA 2007 Annual Meeting is the Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza. The hotel is located just off the Plaza, the venerable heart of the old city of Santa Fe. The Hilton is within easy walking distance of galleries, restaurants, shops and historic sites. Guests of the hotel can make contact with a little of New Mexico’s long history without even leaving the Hilton’s grounds, as some of the original adobe walls of the 350-year-old Ortiz Hacienda are preserved in the hotel’s structure. The Hilton is a historically-correct choice of lodgings for another reason: Conrad Hilton, the founder of the Hilton hotels, grew up in the southern New Mexico city of Roswell.
The hotel courtyard boasts the largest swimming pool in Santa Fe, a Jacuzzi and poolside service for drinks and light dining. Each room offers a coffee maker, designer toiletries, a hairdryer, robes, makeup mirrors, an in-room safe, voicemail and modem data ports, an iron and an ironing board.
CAUTION: Due to the Santa Fe Fiesta Historical/Hysterical Parade, access to the Hilton parking lot will be barricaded between noon and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 9. Parking in downtown Santa Fe, in the vicinity of the Hilton, will be very difficult to find on that day. Please plan to arrive at the Hilton either before noon or after 4:00 p.m. Although check-in time is not until 4:00 p. m., you may store your baggage at the hotel until then.
